Question:
Answer:

If you consume cod liver oil or other types of Omega-3 supplements on a regular basis and/or eat oily fish often, you most probably have a satisfactory amount of these fatty acids in your diet.

How much you actually have as part of your diet therefore depends on your intake of oily fish and supplements.

Almost half of all adults and a larger number of children and youths do not get the recommended amount (500 mg/day of EPA and DHA1), and for these, Omega-3 added/enriched food products will contribute to a more optimal intake.
