EPADHA - the new sensory neutral Omega-3 ingredient

The wholly owned TINE company Maritex, and TINE’s Research and Development Centre have conducted extensive research on marine Omega-3 oils. In 2007, TINE could, as one of the first distributors in the world, offer marine Omega-3 oil free of taste and smell with low oxidation levels.

The products are named TINE EPADHA Omega-3 oil and TINE EPADHA Omega-3 emulsion after the long-chained marine Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.

Innovation and tradition

Our EPADHA Omega-3 oil and EPADHA Omega-3 emulsion is marketed and sold via TINE’s Ingredients division.

TINE Ingredients is a major supplier to other industrial players within nutrition, with products such as dairy goods, fruit juices, bakery and patisserie products, pizza, ice-cream, chocolate, meat, fish, margarine, soups, sauces, dressings and health food supplements, in addition to various kinds of ready meals. The EPADHA team has extensive know-how within the dairy and fruit drink industry.

In 2007, TINE Ingredients had a turnover of more than NOK 830 million and over 800 industrial clients.

Pure and natural

Our EPADHA Omega-3 is produced from pure and natural raw materials. We have highly educated personnel and control over all parts of the value chain, from fresh fish to final product. The TINE Ingredients team works in close collaboration with the customers, and we provide support and guidance in the development of new recipes and improved processing solutions with our EPADHA Omega-3 as an ingredient.
